Chinese lacquer furniture was first brought to England in the 17th Century and was prized as an exotic luxury. Using various background colours as overall decoration, beautiful 'chinoiserie' was formed using gold gliding.

We are one of the very few companies painting, gliding and restoring this type of furniture today. We can actually build a piece from start to finish in traditional methods to produce a magnificent piece of furniture.

However, commissions can very often take in excess of 6-9 months to complete.
